Aus Struct Services is a dynamic and forward-thinking Company that will endeavour to continually improve its services in the working environment
Aus Struct Services was established in 1996. From our very beginnings we were approached by key corporations to assist them resolving issues with existing facilities, as well as designing and installing new roofing and cladding systems to new facilities also.
As an example – Broken Hill Products approached three leading roofing contractors in 1997 in the Melbourne area to put forward a system to replace the roofs on their manufacturing plant. In removal and replacement of the roof and purlins meeting all the requirements as listed below –
- Design the best Occupational health and safety system for working at heights
- Meet the project programme and budget requirements
- Supply and install a watertight roof system
Aus Struct Services was the Company selected by Blue Scope Steel (formally part of BHP) to undertake the task of replacing the roof and structural purlins on its pickle Line and the Hot strip Mill at its manufacturing plant in Hastings Victoria Australia, a project that was complex and within an operational environment over a period of circa 1997 until 2005.
Aus Struct Services quickly became recognised within the industry as the market leader in providing an intelligent, progressive movement and providing a safer working environment, in major commercial roof replacements and servicing Australia wide.
A high percentage of Aus Struct Services works has been based rectification of new and existing failed Roof Installation (by others), as well as rectification, and making good or replacement of Fragile Roofs and Structural Steel Replacements. Much of which has been possible through our inhouse designed, developed, and Patented a System for “high-risk roof replacement works.
As a result, Aus Struct Services Pty Ltd have been one of the foremost players in major roof replacements since 1997, ranging in value from $250,000 up to many millions of dollars.
Aus Struct Services aims to continuously improve installation methodology with the best use of latest technology and materials brought to industry to offer greater safety, savings and productivity. Aus Struct Services provides improved reliability of project management and unequalled accuracy of installation procedures, all from a company dedicated to personnel support and product service.
Having been in the industry for over 25 years, our ability to understand and interpret the relevant standards and regulations relating to roof works and installation procedures and our “in-house estimating team” with the added benefit to undertake detailed design and specification for unforeseen project requirements allows Aus Struct to confidently undertake the task of roof installation, re-rectification /re-build and project management of projects of all scales, complexities across Australia.
Aus Struct Services Pty Ltd is the current market leader in major commercial roof replacements including Metal, Fibreglass, Slate, Colorbond, Asbestos and other fragile materials.
Management
The leadership of Aus Struct Services Pty Ltd is provided through it’s founder and Managing Director Nigel Cunniffe.
Nigel holds extensive registrations in relation to the plumbing industry and also a Commercial Builder – Limited License in Victoria.
During his apprenticeship Nigel was awarded 3 very significant awards including “most outstanding apprentice over 3 years”. This is clear evidence of the passion and dedication Nigel has shown his trade and continues to do so to this day.
Following completion of his apprenticeship some 36 years ago, Nigel quickly formed his own company – Aus Struct Services Pty Ltd and has traded successfully ever since.
Nigel’s attention to detail, and in “doing the job right first time” are key attributes that he has become well known and recognized for by his peers. Additionally, Nigel has dedicated time and commitment to further developing his trade through membership to and serving on Specialized Committee at the Victorian master Builder Association, and in 2018 he became a Director of the same association.
Throughout his career he has been awarded many awards for innovation, safety initiatives and excellence in plumbing service provision.
A passionate tradesman with extensive knowledge of all practice codes, Australian Standards, Technical Bulletins and technical products together with the latest safety standards and requirements, Nigel is a true leader within his chosen trade.
As such a leader, Nigel is well placed to lead his dedicated team of plumbing and roof plumbing experts for any project requiring the very best outcomes – be it new works or rectification and rebuild works.
